After a slow morning of sorting out general things we set off in search of finding a tour agency to cycle the world's most dangerous road. Everyone who goes to La Paz seemingly does it and it's the number one thing to do in the local area on trip advisor. We managed to save £30 each by finding a different tour operator who offered seemingly the same thing whilst retaining safety standards. This is what we will be doing tomorrow, should be exhilarating.

After saving ourselves some money we decided to wander through the markets in search of souvenirs. Emma managed to find herself a very colourful bag that we managed to get a good deal with after some bargaining. A couple of other standard touristy items were purchased before we decided to take a ride on the cable cars that are scattered around La Paz.

The queue was massive to even buy a ticket for the cable car. In order to increase usage for the locals they have made the cost very affordable. One ride is around 30p. I wish the train companies of England would take a note...

The views from the cable car only got better as we rose from La Paz into the more questionable area of El Alto. Mountains that were previously hidden by closer mountains suddenly became visible to my delight.

We had to get off at the top and requeue for the ride back down so we decided to take advantage of the views and take some pictures. La Paz really is a sprawling city and it was enjoyable to play spot the football pitches. It makes me happy how popular football is in South America. No matter the neighbourhood, there will always be a football pitch.

Unfortunately we couldn't take any more cable cars as we had to return in time to get a lift to the Cholitos wrestling. A cholitos is the name given to local indigenous women who wear long dresses, colourful clothes and often an 18th century style hat. For some reason they decided to go wwe style and "wrestle". Merely a coordinated dance with some flips and slamming onto the canvas for the purpose of entertainment. It was very funny to watch but I'm not sure that I'll be rushing back. I don't understand how they do two shows a week. Sadly there were only three "fights" before they said it was over. I could easily have stayed for more fights.

La Paz is really starting to grow on me. It's always nice to get a delicious ice cream for 1 Boliviano - maybe around 10p. Such a vibrant city with a lot going on.
