The final steps actually turned out to be quite a few steps. We walked with all of our bags 15 blocks in Buenos Aires to the dock to get our ship. The terminal felt like an airport, the level of security, albeit a lot easier.

When we got on the ferry we couldn't find a seat at all. We had to sit in the middle of floor near the ferry shop. This also happened to be the area that all of the children under the age of 6 in the local area all seemed to gather here. There were loads of them! They kept harassing us and trying to steal my bottle. The views that we left behind in Buenos Aires and it's skyline were marvellous from the boat. The hour long boat led us into Uruguay. Unfortunately it was just up the coast from Montevideo so we had to take a pre-arranged bus. This turned out to be a good thing however as we got to enjoy the countryside of Uruguay. Uruguay is all greenery and ideallic farms in the countryside. Montevideo was immediately nowhere near as busy as Buenos Aires. Plenty of streets had buildings no higher than 2 stories. This would have been preposterous in Buenos Aires.

We had another walk with our large bags for about twenty minutes to our last accommodation. The flat is nice and a good base to explore Montevideo. We went out to dinner and ate some traditional Uruguyan food - a sandwich with a lot of very delicious ingredients. This was enjoyed with the viewing of the two largest football teams in Uruguay going head to head just 2.5km east of where we ate dinner. Montevideo is a completely different place to Buenos Aires and I look forward to seeing it in the daylight tomorrow. Just two full days left now.
